Booooooo, mid season break Sad
Booooo, they killed off someone I actually liked.
Booo, Scott's still a 2D character I don't like even after the hallucination "character building" episode .

I was also lead to believe that James was going to get more to do in the second season :/

I second that on the mid season break...It's just kicked some serious a**!

My least favourite character (Chloe) is now becoming a little more interesting.

Greer showed his softer side when he asked another Destiny crew member for thier forgivness for what he would have to do in the future. That was good acting there - made me beleive that he had a conscience.

If they continue with the show like they did in the last episode before the break, they might just make it to season 3 or 4...I hope so!

Doesn't surprise me to be honest. Shame, because I know people liked it but I don't think it started well enough.

I gave up 3/4 of the way thru Season 1 as nothing seemed to happen. They lost a lot of their audience and ratings fell. In the US its ALL about the ratings! If you don't get the numbers you don't get the air time!

I hear thats Season 2 is supposed to be quite good, but looks like it is too little too late for it to recover.

Personally can't say I am at all bothered. Oh well, back to re-watching SG1 & Atlantis.

Well I for one am sad to see it go as it was really picking up speed as it hit midway through Season 2.

This is quoted from SyFy website..

Quote:
Syfy announced today it will end its original action-adventure series Stargate Universe once the show returns to finish its second season in the spring of 2011. The upcoming 10 episodes will be the series' last.

The Stargate franchise—consisting of Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe—has aired on Syfy since 2002.

Syfy has a slate of new scripted projects lined up for 2011, including the series premiere of Being Human on Jan. 17, the recently green-lit one-hour drama series Alphas and the much-anticipated Battlestar prequel pilot movie, Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome.

Warehouse 13, Eureka and Haven will also be returning with new seasons next year.

Whether we now see anymore SG movies is anyones guess. Crying or Very sad

Exactly, they cancelled it just as it found its feet and really got going. I have to admit that through the first season I had my doubts, but I kept with it. The second season has really started to show what great entertainment it could be. We often sat and watched two or three episodes on the trot and we were waiting eagerly for the second half of S2.

SG1, to be fair, had a good run. 10 seaons, and two movies. Atlantis (my personal favourite) was cancelled waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay before its time. I reckon it had at least another 5 seasons in it. I would have liked to see it continued. Just without Teyla. SGU started slowly (ok, very slowly) but it soon picked up the pace. Its a shame to see it go.

Looks like there's no more 'Gate' fix for us folks, so dig out your DVD's, as thats all we got now

Crying or Very sad
