Ok everyone,
We have a new Lieutenant gearing up for SGC duties. However we have hit a brick wall on a character name.
So far we have had....
Steve "Stonecold" Smith
Shane "Scarecrow" Schofield
Robert "Coop" Cooper
Steve "Phoenix" Smith
What we are looking for is a name with a call sign as they have in the military. Think "Top Gun" - Maverick, Hollywood, Ice Man etc.
Get your thinking hats on. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Well as the rest of us are all main characters and couldn't possibly be wiped out or fatally injured (apart from Daniel, obviously), I think Lt. Smith should take on the man in the Red Jumper role. You know, just so Fraiser has something to do out on troops.
So I think 'Deadmeat' would suit  hehe

He 'acquires', does he... Steve 'Delboy' Smith... I saw this television programme on BBC America about this innocent, hard-working trader type... he appealed to me for some reason.

Thats true...he's been an ace aquirer. We love him really. I'll see if I can come up with something much more better.

Ok, how about Major Coburn? He was one of the team leaders of SG2. That would be good as he's got the right patch for it.

I think he is going to want to be a Lt. for a while so I (well in talking with Dr Higgs too) have come up with :-
Lt. Steve "Phoenix" Ashford
After Jonas's initial name of "Deadmeat" the whole Phoenix rising from the flames/ashes, reborn etc etc seemed rather apt.
However, there is no official nod on this, so don't be surprised to see a completely different persona turn up!!

OOooooo seeing the word rebourn made me think, what about
Ash "Phoenix" Bourne
Ash Bourne,, thats screams Phoenix to me,, Ash could also be a like Ant for Anthony, so his first name could really be Ashford, or Ashlee, or Ashad, Ashtrix or alike,, but went by Ash, then With Ash Bourne arose the Phoenix
OK my brain seems to be working to well at this instant, I just came up with a peom for a con book in 2 mins a few mins ago,, I'm starting to worry that my brain might overheat 
EDIT:- Plus Bourne is a surname now assosiated with a right cool/super cool dude,, like steve
