Just incase you weren't aware. There's a Stargate based MMO currently in development which I've been waiting on for some time now. It's not too far off a release, so hopefully we'll be able to jump into the game as some sort of group when it comes out. Very Happy

Its about time there was a Stargate game. I wonder what ever happened to Stargate: Alliance? That was supposed to be a team based first person shooter type thing. Console based. But it disappeared and was never released.

Alliance was cancelled. Apparantly the company developing it didn't have the rights ... or something allong those lines. Looked like it was going to be a good'un as well.

I'm quite looking forward to Worlds though. Never really been into the MMO thing, I gave The Matrix Online a try a while back but thats about it. This lookis like it might be quite fun.

They didn't have the rights? From MGM presumably? They had all the actors voicing it though...weird.

Yeah, I think the dispute was between the developers and the publishers. The developers, Perception, had (and as far as I know still have) the rights to the game got into a bit of a argument with their publishers, JoWood. They parted company and JoWood claimed that they were taking Aliance with them saying they had the rights to the IP - which they don't.

Last I heard Perception were continuing with development of the game, though that was back in '05 so I think its safe to say that its pretty much cancelled.
