No Spoilers By the way - as of writing this I still have a couple of episodes from Season 1 to watch. Sky+ and all that, trying to get time to watch it when others (small children) are not around. So please DON'T tell me what happens at the end of Season 1!!!

So who's still watching it? Are you eagerly awaiting Season 2 or have you given up on it?

Whats your views then?

My only bone of contention is that they are able to still contact home, and there's only really been one episode that really left me thinking that it was getting going.

I'm still watching it as with SGA it took me a couple of seasons to get into so I won't give up yet, plus I have met Alaina and Jamil so have to watch it Wink

Oh and have got to see Daniel and Jack so that was good...and yes I know it they didn't use those stones I wouldn't have got to see them, but I am a girl and I can change my mind....

Oh man! I love SGU! The end of the first season was sooo good I can't wait for Season Two! OK, so I wasn't that impressed to start off with but half way through it seemed to find its feet and that's when I really got into it. I'm planning on picking up the DVD boxset soon and watching it all in one go. I think with a second viewing I'm going to love it all the more. Very Happy

Yeah I gotta admit that I wasn't too 'into it' at first but the series did progress quite nicley and was reallt good towards the end of series one and now i can't wait for the next season.

I do like the characters and it has got great potential....but I can't help but compare it to SG-1 and Atlantis which still are much, much better in my eyes.

I kept comparing it to SG1 and SGA which kinda ruined it for me, i thought it was awesome all the same just because it's more stargate... but it was pretty slow in all honesty

I really wanted to like this. I really did.

I just couldnt get into it. I watched 17 episodes before I gave up. Nothing happened. No enemies, no funky Alien planets, no space battles, no suspense, nothing. (Apart from one episode, when they got trapped by a cave in, and had to get back before Destiny went into FTL, that was quite good.)

The rest of it was just tired. I am all for character building on TV, I want to care about the characters, but in this I just didn't. It dragged on too long and became annoying. Its like Eastenders in space. Everyone argueing, depressed, sex for no reason (other than to get ratings).

Didn't like the whole stones thing either, as Sam said, why set a story about being stranded in another galaxy and then give them a way back?

I know a lot of people like this show and thats all good, but for me I watch TV to be entertained and this just wasn't.

Sorry. Sad

Ok, so I have now finally watched them all from Season 1.

The last 3 episodes had much more action in them, more like SG1 & SGA. Although the action was fast paced, it was a little bit sporadic. But good watching.

And I must admit to think...No you can't leave it there when it ended.

So, here's waiting for S2. Which from Twitter posts they are back filming now after thier Hiatus.

S2 is due to start sometime in October. I think the plan is for Sky to air it the same way they did with S1 which means we should get to see it a few days after it airs in the US.

We're still working our way through S1. Its still kinda hmmm for me. Its ok as a show, but its not what I expect from Stargate. They should can it and bring back Atlantis, I loved that show. Thats probably why I prefer my greys to my greens.
